Procedure Overview
Total Time: ~15–30 minutes
- Consultation
- Review medical history and skin goals.
- Ensure no contraindications (e.g., active infection, pregnancy, recent retinoid use).
- Pre-Treatment Prep
- Skin is cleansed and degreased to remove oil, dirt, and makeup.
- Peel Application
- The peel solution is applied in layers using gauze or brush.
- A tingling or mild stinging sensation is normal (subsides quickly due to phenol’s numbing effect).
- Leave-On Peel
- Unlike some peels that are neutralized, The Perfect Derma Peel is left on the skin.
- Patient is instructed to leave it on for at least 6 hours (sometimes overnight).
- Patients are given a home-care kit that includes:
- Post-peel towelettes (used on Day 2 & 3)
- Moisturizer with hydrocortisone
- Instructions for aftercare
What to Expect:
- Day 1: Slight redness or tightness
- Day 2: Peeling begins around the mouth, then spreads
- Day 3–5: Heavy peeling phase; do not pick or pull
- Day 6–7: Peeling slows, revealing smoother, clearer skin
underneath - Day 7+ Glowing, refreshed skin; can resume full skincare routine
Aftercare Tips
- Do not pick or peel manually—this can lead to scarring.
- Use moisturizer provided to soothe dryness.
- Avoid sun exposure; wear broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily.
- Avoid heavy exercise, saunas, or sweating for 2–3 days post-treatment.
